For a memorable stay on the Northumberland coast, this quirky and utterly charming holiday home for two is a perfect option. The cottage is bursting with character, from the subtle nautical touches to the exposed bricks and vintage furniture found throughout, ensuring you feel at home from the moment you step through the door. Just 100 metres away is the beautiful beach of Low Hauxley where you can enjoy an invigorating seaside walk in the winter, or a sunny afternoon sunbathing during the summer.

The heart of the cottage is the living room which is filled with interesting artefacts and pieces of furniture which seamlessly blend together to create a relaxing space for you and your loved one to unwind. A set of double doors lead through to the kitchen/diner which is bright and airy with warm wooden furniture and a table seating four. Here you can gather together to play board games, or cook up a romantic feast to enjoy with one another. Upstairs, you’ll find the cosy bedroom with a metal-framed, king-size bed where you’re sure to get a good night’s rest. Completing the property is the modern shower room which takes inspiration from the property’s coastal location. Outside, the enclosed deck offers the opportunity for you to dine alfresco on a sunny evening with a charcoal BBQ and a table and chairs for your comfort.

Ideally located for exploring the coastline, you’ll find the village of Craster just 12 miles away which is packed with activities, from a historic day spent at Dunstanburgh Castle to an interesting arty afternoon at The Mix Oxley Gallery. Why not walk a stretch of the Northumberland coast path during your stay for an active adventure? You could pack a picnic and head north in the direction of Bamburgh and you’ll be mesmerised by the serene sea views, a wealth of wildlife and fabulous flora and fauna.

A lovely second visit to this very comfortable cottage by the beach. A wonderful location, quiet, & couldn't wish for any more...except sunshine for the whole week! Despite the weather, there's lots ot do & walking on the beach in all weathers is always a very good thing.

A charming place just yards from an amazing beach! Very spacious with everything thought of. In a very quirky setting/position which adds to its charm. If you enjoy lovely walks on an uncrowned, vast, sandy beach, then this is the place for you!

We had a great stay at Lobster Pot Cottage. It is ideally located very near the beach and the coastal path, and was very well equipped and comfortable. It was our first visit to Northumberland, postponed from an earlier planned stay in April 2020, and we had been looking forward to exploring the area for some time. It didn't disappoint, and we iRead morencluded Bamburgh, Cragside, Wallington and boat trips to Coquet Island and the Farnes in our itinerary, as well as the local nature reserve. We would recommend Lobster Pot Cottage, Original Cottages, Amble and Northumberland as ideal for a great holiday, and we can't wait for our next visit before too long. Hide

Very comfortable - obviously occupied part-time by the owners, so it feels homely. Excellent location near the beach, but access & parking are a little tricky because of the road lay-out around these old dwellings.
