Towering above the village, medieval Bamburgh Castle is also the site of the RNLI Grace Darling Museum, commemorating the Victorian heroine who saved shipwreck survivors. Take a boat trip from historic Seahouses (1.5 miles) out to the Farne Islands, to see puffins and seals in this important wildlife sanctuary.
