Great location beside the river and very close to the centre of the village. We had no problem parking and there are very good pubs and restaurants nearby. The house is noisy, particularly in the downstairs bedrooms, becasue of uncovered floors in the upstairs kitchen and living area. We had asked for a cot and high chair but these were not put oRead moreut and we struggled to find the cot tucked away in a cupboard, and then had to work out how to put it up. Hide

We had a fantastic stay. This is a lovely large home with three private bedrooms and bathrooms, totally suitable for 3 couples and our dog. There is a great, comfortable, open plan upstairs living room and kitchen / diner making for fun communal living. The photographs dont really do it justice. The property is on a very quiet lane on the riverbanRead morek with plenty of parking and great early morning and late evening walks with the dog. A large sandy beach is a 25 minute walk away. Stunning location! Beautiful and sizeable cottage with plenty of convenient parking. Right on a river, so if you paddle board or kayak, take these with you! The water is shallow enough to paddle in parts. The village has a good few pubs, cafes and a couple of shops, but is limited. Amble and Alnwick are both a short drive away for supermarkets. IdRead moreeally located for Morpeth, Alnwick and Bamburgh Castle which are all short trips. Almouth beach is a beautiful location and worth a visit, especially if the tide is out. Clean, blonde sands. Dogs are allowed..pretty much everywhere!!! The cottage has 3 bathrooms (one has the deepest roll top bath I have ever been in). They kindly left chocolates, Prosecco and milk on arrival which was very welcome. The river is beautiful to sit beside with plenty of benches and eating areas to enjoy a glass of wine on a warm summers evening. Plenty of glasses, mugs, crockery and cooking utensils if you want to use them. Hide
