Get the whole gang together at this luxurious three-storey holiday home sitting in the charming town of Amble. Sleeping eight people across four bedrooms, this is a stylish, energy-efficient accommodation option for large families or groups of friends who want to celebrate a special occasion together. Spend happy hours discovering Alnwick Castle and Gardens and stop off for lunch in the treehouse restaurant. In the evening, come home to host dinner in the garden and then treat yourself to a soak in the cottage’s gorgeous sunken Italian spa bath.

Step inside and you’ll be greeted by a generous hallway that leads through to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Pass the electric flame-effect fire set in the dividing wall to reach the gorgeous lounge area. Take in the views of the shared garden to the front of the cottage before heading back to the sleek kitchen area to whip up some dinner for everyone. Gather around the elegant dining table to enjoy the meal together, or open up the French doors and savour an al fresco dinner on the enclosed courtyard-style patio. After dinner, lose yourself in a good book in the impressive chalet-style lounge set in the eaves on the second floor. With a floor-to-ceiling window and bi-fold doors that allow plenty of natural light into the room, it's a lovely place to relax. Alternatively, unwind with a luxurious dip in the sunken Italian spa bath in the small mezzanine area – you can even watch TV while you soak. At the end of the day, there are two king-size bedrooms and one double bedroom on the first floor, as well as one king-size bedroom on the second floor. There is also a west-facing glazed balcony on the second floor – the perfect place for your morning coffee. Four sleek en-suite shower rooms with walk-in showers, as well as one handy separate WC, complete the cottage’s layout.

Have a relaxing day at Alnmouth Beach (6 miles), where you may be lucky enough to spot seals, dolphins and whales. Alternatively, tee off at Dunstanburgh Castle Golf Course (14 miles) for a challenging round of golf surrounded by gorgeous coastal views.

This is a very well - presented modern property which was a comfortable base for our visit to Northumberland. The heating system was very effective - a bonus during a week when outside temperatures were low. We enjoyed the spacious living areas and en suite bedrooms. The utility area near the rear entrance was a useful place to shed outdoor coats aRead morend shoes. The centre of Amble with its shops and restaurants is a short stroll away while Alnwick and the coastal villages are within easy reach. Hide
