This area serves as an ideal gateway to explore Northumberland’s coast and country villages and the nearby Scottish Borders. Belford (1.4 miles) has shops, pubs/restaurants, takeaways, and a good farm shop/café with a children’s play area. Local treasures include Budle Bay, a scenic spot for bird watching and stunning views, Bamburgh Castle overlooking the long, sandy beach, and bustling village pubs and restaurants. Cross the causeway to Holy Island, for walking or cycling the coastal paths and explore Lindisfarne Castle and Priory. Head to Seahouses for boat trips to the Farne Islands, and stroll on beautiful Beadnell Bay beach. Historic Berwick-upon-Tweed lies to the north (17 miles) and trains run from here for day trips to Edinburgh.

Head in through the back door where you will find coat hooks and a bench seat where you can sit down to take off your walking boots. The utility room is just off the hallway with a washing machine, sink, and useful WC. Head through to the welcoming open-plan kitchen/diner with a contemporary country feel. There is beautiful stone flooring and underfloor heating throughout the ground floor and underfloor heating in the family bathroom. The kitchen is well laid out for the family cook and includes an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and a larder cupboard where you can store your food. Enjoy sitting together at the dining table for your meals with this room’s own warming wood burner on hand for cooler evenings and leisurely dinners. The lounge has a large, comfortable sofa and two easy chairs so you can kick back and relax in front of the wood burner and watch a good film on the Smart TV. There is a view to the front over the garden and across the neighbouring fields. Upstairs, there are two attractively presented bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and a view across the open countryside at the front. There is a hand-made wooden dressing table where you can sit to get ready and a closet with a mirror where you can store your things. The second bedroom has a double bed and a lovely view over the rear gardens. The contemporary family bathroom completes the accommodation with underfloor heating, a walk-in shower, and a WC.

Outside, there is a south-facing, enclosed garden to the front with a small patio area and bench seat where you can sit and catch some rays. To the rear, there is a shared, lawned garden with your own picnic table where you can extend your evenings after exploring this wonderful area.
