Wander to the harbour to see colourful fishing boats and yachts in the marina, with a view of Warkworth’s medieval Castle just across the estuary. Stroll along the promenade for views towards Coquet Island and beyond and enjoy a boat trip to see the island’s wildlife reserve. There are shops, bars, fabulous seafood restaurants, renowned fish and chip shops, coffee houses and ice-cream parlours, all on your doorstep. Head to Warkworth village (1.5 miles) to see the Castle, browse the shops and play on the sandy beach. Explore Alnwick Castle and Gardens with water sculptures and a treehouse restaurant (9 miles). Head to Craster for smoked kippers and walk the coastal path to Dunstanburgh Castle’s dramatic ruins (13 miles).

Located in the centre of this popular, bustling seaside town, enter this warm and welcoming property through the front and into the bright, generous hallway where you can sit down to remove walking boots and hang outdoor clothing on the coat stand. A glazed door leads into the bright and spacious lounge with plenty of comfortable seating for everyone to be able to relax and unwind in front of the cosy wood burner. There is a washer/dryer if you need to do some laundry, and a small step-down takes you to a downstairs WC and the back door. The whole family can sit down together for sociable meals at the large table in the beautiful dining room where you can also find a reading area and bookshelves with books and games with a couple of easy chairs. Upstairs on the first floor, there are three well-appointed bedrooms; one with a super-king-size zip-and-link bed (which can be made up as a twin on request) and its own TV for lazy lie-ins watching the news, a double bedroom, and a twin bedroom.
