Treat your loved ones to a holiday in Northumberland. You’ll be in a modern, detached property on a working farm with an on-site brewery. There’s room for a family and their dogs, and you’ll find plenty of great things for everyone to enjoy in the surrounding areas, including days out on the coast and opportunities to visit loads of castles.

Upon entering the cottage you’ll find an airy lounge with a wood burner, which makes a lovely spot to warm your toes and paws. You can plug into the Bluetooth speaker for music, radio and podcasts as you relax. Continue to the bright kitchen/diner. There’s everything you’ll need for tasty meals, plus a coffee machine for extra treats. To one side you’ll see a door to the garden for a little fresh air. The ground floor is finished with a laundry room/WC. Head upstairs for a twin bedroom and a king-size with an en-suite shower room. You’ll also have a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. Outside, there’s a large lawned garden, enclosed by a wooden fence. You can store your bikes and other outdoor equipment in the secure shed. You’ll be on a working farm with a brewery, so make sure you try a local tipple!

The property is nearly a mile outside Guyzance, a rural village with a winding river. There’s lots of history around, as well as woods and places to hike with your dog. For the bustle of a larger town, try Morpeth, 5 miles away, which has plenty of family-friendly activities, plus shops and eateries. If you fancy a coastal excursion, try Hauxley Nature Reserve, 6.5 miles away, where you can see wildlife and gorgeous beaches.

We had a lovely stay. We really loved the cottage and it's location. We found it really well equipped and clean. Kids really loved the twin beds, found them very comfy. And they loved the big bath in the main bathroom. 5 stars from us.

We had a lovely week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at "Cottage on the Corner" which is a beautiful property. Great brewery next door, open Fridays and Saturdays though if you are looking to eat there go in plenty time as it runs out quickly!

Very well appointed cottage but not particularly dog friendly - too many do's and don'ts! Probably best suited for younger people as furniture not very comfortable for older generation (different to photos). Not able to use electric radiators as locked and wood burning stove as wood was damp & wouldn't burn. Came home early.

A lovely, well equipped and comfortable clean property. Easy access to the coast yet in a nice quiet rural location. It was an unexpected bonus to find the microbrewery tap room at the farm next door, which is open twice a week. We enjoyed a very relaxing break with our dog away from all the fireworks!
