For those seeking a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, this cosy cottage, and its surrounding area promise an idyllic retreat where relaxation and exploration go hand in hand. Located to the southwest of Warkworth (4.4 miles) with its medieval Castle, meandering river walks, village pubs, restaurants, and stunning beach, and Amble (5.1 miles) with its bustling harbour, seafood restaurants, quirky shops, and circular pier walk on the Northumberland coastline. Explore Druridge Bay Country Park and the sandy beach over the dunes. Visit Hauxley’s wonderful Wildlife Discovery Centre for red squirrels and much more with a café for warm drinks and treats. Discover Alnwick Castle and fabulous Gardens (9.4 miles) and head to Alnmouth to fly kites on the beach.

Enter the cottage door to find the bright, open-plan kitchen/dining space with plenty of hanging space for your outdoor coats and a seat, perfect for putting on your walking boots. The contemporary kitchen is fully equipped and stocked with attractive crockery so the family can cook and enjoy preparing a range of meals. Coffee enthusiasts will appreciate the coffee machine and can enjoy sitting at the kitchen island for sociable meals together. The king-size room has closet space and an en-suite shower room. The pretty twin bedroom has open hanging space and a chest of drawers for your things. This was the best holiday cottage we've stayed in! Host Louise was fantastic messaging prior to leaving and bringing round extra sheets for the travel cot. The cleaning materials were very much appreciated from M and S and will be something we look at buying ourselves. Lots of space downstairs. Incredibly clean and well presented. The heating was jRead moreust right and equipment spot on. The lounge was very relaxing and our little boy had lots of place to roam. The facilities for him were great too. Hide

Excellent location for inland and coastal excursions. Close enough to the coast but far enough away to be very quiet. A lovely, well equipped and comfortable clean property. Easy access to the coast yet in a nice quiet rural location. It was an unexpected bonus to find the microbrewery tap room at the farm next door, which is open twice a week. We enjoyed a very relaxing break with our dog away from all the fireworks!
