Beautiful property with a huge open lounge, dining area and kitchen so great for family get togethers. Large bedrooms and bathrooms all immaculate and then to top it all off theres a fabulous garden for kids to play in with a gorgeous view of the lake to enjoy whilst you are watching the kids running around with a drink in your hand. Theres even a Read morepub a short walk down the road and a convenience store. You could even walk down to the beach which is a 25min brisk walk away if you want to get your steps in or just drive, only 5mins away and you come to a stunning, sandy quiet beach with sand dunes that the kids will love. There is also a great cafe on the beach so you could spend the whole day there. Absolutely perfect house in a perfect location. Book it, you will not be disappointed. Hide

Constant dishwasher smell. SuOnly 4 dishwasher tablets so needed to buy a packet. Windows need cleaning. Drive needs brushing & cleaning. Rear patio needs weeding & cleaning. Lounge door to patio wont open/shut. Super king bedroom en-suite wash basin not draining.

Great property. Lots of space for two families totalling eleven people. Easy reach of bamburgh castle, Alnwick castle, the beach and great walks at Simonside circular.

Just got back from 3 nights in this amazing house. 7 adults & 5 children between 2 & 13 we all loved it. The house is big loved the space & we all loved the games room. The kitchen is so well equipped has everything you need. Visited the Plough Inn which is a 2 minute walk lovely pub & went to Duridge Bay which is a 5 minute drive away. We were a group of 10 and we all had a great time, a really nice house! Location was good with plenty of parking. The kitchen was very spacious and well equipped. We have been to the waterside a few times now with the previous owners and now with the present owners, and of all the different houses and cottages we have stayed at this is our favourite and we will be back fabulous place

Large spacious property set in lovely countryside with great views of meadows and water features. The addition of a play area out side and games room inside made for ideal entertainment for both children and adults. Plenty of equipment and facilities provided with a fantastic welcome food hamper.

Really lovely house, so spacious, garden was beautiful and space for the children to play, convenient location with easy access to lots of attractions across Northumberland. We had requested a cot and high chair, it was all ready for us on arrival. We would definitely come back another year.

Excellent house, lots of space, great location, nice to have a house with enough parking for 4 cars. A very large garden with rabbits, deer, ducks. We did see a fox in the garden but a large black and white cat with no tail chased it off.

The cottage was more impressive even in real life than in the photos. We could have happily stayed in all day in the lounge looking at the garden and beyond. The communication from Joy was brilliant and welcoming. Loved the whole week, thank you.

Waterside is amazing! We loved how spacious the house was, especially the living/dining area. The games room was popular, and also the outside space. We had a great afternoon sitting in the sun watching the neighbours shear their sheep! Rooms were very clean & comfortable, and the provision of toiletries & welcome basket in the kitchen was great. We've just come back after having a fabulous week at Waterside. Four adults and 5 children aged 7 to 13. The games room and garden were great, they loved it. The house is huge and has plenty of room for time with family and space to have 'me' time. It's lovely if you like quiet locations as we do. The holiday home is a great size for a larger group/ family. We had 4 young children and it was good having beaches nearby, Northumberland zoo and some nature reserves. The beds were very comfy!

Fantastic spacious property for our annual weekend get away! 11 The games room was a huge hit, great size kitchen to prepare meals and plenty of space to relax and sit round the large dining table together. Enormous! The Plough, just up the road, is very good for food, drink and general ambience. We went to Beamish, Cragside, Alnwick Gardens, Druridge Country Park, Howick Hall, Farne Islands - all of which we already knew but still loved. Beamish now has a Fifties Section, which to us seemed unnervingly up-to-date! In addition to all these, we of courRead morese tramped miles along beautiful, nearly-empty beaches. The cottage was fabulous and was brilliant for the group we had staying varying from 5 to 75. Lots of space, freedom for the children to play and different areas for everyone so it didn't feel like we were all on top of each other. Rooms were fabulous sizes and bathrooms lovely. So much space, great for us all - ages ranging from 23 months, 3, 4 and 7 years old, plus 5 adults. The garden was loved by the children and the games room was a bonus. Good choice of boxed games and dvds for wet day alternative entertainment - we were lucky with the weather though, so didn't make much use of these. Well equipped kitchen, comfy bedRead mores. Very spacious accommodation for three generations family holiday and a Golden Wedding Anniversary celebration. Very well equipped and very comfortable. One of the best houses we have stayed in for the family holiday. Recommended.
