Enjoy a warm and welcoming stay in Northumberland in this appealing period property, nestled in the historic market town of Morpeth. With the Northumbrian coast and countryside on your doorstep, it’s ideal for a family-friendly break or a getaway with friends.

Well presented throughout, this property blends light tones with statement wallpaper, warm splashes of colour and lots of thoughtful touches. Climb the small flight of stone steps to the front door and into the hall, where you can remove outdoor clothing before entering the welcoming lounge. Sink into the deep sofas to review your pictures of the day, snuggle up with your current read, or catch up with some TV. Simple yet well equipped, the kitchen has everything you need to cook up some treats, and you can dine inside or out with a dining table in the kitchen and an outdoor table in the mature garden. Stroll around wooded paths in Carlisle Park, and discover the ruins of Morpeth Castle and St Mary’s Church. The market town of Alnwick, with its magnificent castle and gardens, is 20 miles north, while Cresswell Beach – regarded as one of the best in the county – is just 10 miles east.

The cottage is very comfortable although the staircase is quite steep and narrow. Ideal location for exploring Morpeth and surrounding area. Bus stops are very near and rail station about 10min walk. Good shopping, cafes and restaurants all within 15min walk.
