Offering flexible accommodation for four guests and welcoming one happy hound, it’s a wonderful base for a tranquil couples’ getaway, a family-friendly break or a holiday with friends.

Arranged over the first and second floors of a stunning stone-built house, this holiday home has been beautifully renovated with high-quality furnishings to offer everything you need for a comfortable stay. A communal entranceway and staircase leads to your front door, and into a bright and welcoming space. The kitchen is well equipped for preparing meals at home, and a light and bright dining room is a lovely spot to share meals and chatter with your loved ones. This level is also home to two well-presented bedrooms, with a king-size and a king-size zip-and-link bed, and a smart family bathroom. The highlight of this property is the light-filled lounge, set on the second floor. Sink into deep sofas after a long country walk, gazing out at the far-reaching views, or settle in for a film night. The room contains a handy telescope so you can get a closer look at your surrounds, or gaze at the stars on a clear night.

While there’s no outdoor space with this property aside from private parking, there’s a world of glorious countryside on your doorstep with the coast and the Northumberland National Park within 17 miles. Don’t miss a trip to Alnwick, home to a magnificent castle and gardens (a must for Harry Potter fans!), a Friday farmers’ market and one of the UK’s largest second-hand bookshops. There’s more history to discover at Warkworth Castle (4 miles), and miles of sandy beach, including the stunning sands at Alnmouth (5 miles).

This is a wonderful cottage, a real home from home with everything you could possibly want.

The cottage is very comfortable and quiet, its in a residential area and well positioned to reach Alnwick, the beach and Amble. You need a car here as theres nowhere to walk and the buses are infrequent. The flat is overall equipped, although if we go back Id bring some more bits. The blinds are white so need a sleep mask if you like a dark room. CRead moreomfy beds. Hide

We had a fantastic stay at Hazel Lea. The accommodation has everything you need and more. Great layout enables you to see the wonderful views out to see. We had a very peaceful and restful stay. The surrounding areas are excellent and our particular favourite is Druiridge beach. Miles of unspoilt beach with a fabulous cafe at the end of our stroll.Read more I believe it's called the Driftwood. We would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone who likes comfort. We would definitely recommend this property. It is beautiful inside with breathtaking views towards the sea from the living room window. Our hosts were very friendly and obliging.

Our family really enjoyed our stay. 2 Hazel Lea is a very well equipped property, with amazing views, and in a great location for many attractions. We will certainly visit again and would wholeheartedly reccomemd to anyone looking to visit Northumberland.

I had a wonderful stay at Hazelea. The location was excellent. Near to a superb and an excellent Indian restaurant. The apartment itself was spotless. The bed was really comfortable. The lounge was amazing and had fabulous views made better with the telescope provided. The kitchen was superb. There was nothing that had not been thought about. ThereRead more was every appliance and every utensil you could possibly think of! The bathroom was lovely and the shower was nice and hot. I cannot fault this. Hide

Wonderful cottage. Views stunning off the Northumbrian coast from the upper lounge windows. Fully equipped and spotlessly clean. Very quiet & located for access to all the area has to offer. Bed very comfortable. Parking good too. Would highly recommend.
