A homely semi-detached property on the outskirts of Bamburgh, one of the most iconic villages anywhere in the 40-mile long Northumberland Coast AONB. Located on a quiet road leading towards Bamburgh Castle, this two-storey property boasts bright and airy rooms peppered with contemporary and rustic colours and soft furnishings. Stepping through the hallway, the lounge is an inviting area no matter what the time of day or year, with comfortable seating easy to find. A set of glazed doors lead through to the open-plan kitchen diner, a real haven for foodies keen to experiment with local produce and host long, indulgent meals that warm the soul. The en-suite king-size bedroom and neighbouring twin bedroom both have ample storage space and sit across from a family bathroom. French doors in the kitchen/diner lead out onto the enclosed patio garden, a real sun trap perfect for morning coffees and alfresco dining.

Bambrugh offers a wealth of activities to dog-owning families, from walks along its beach to mooches around its shops, bars and restaurants. Dogs are welcome to roam the grounds of the castle, one of many ancient sites that litter the Northumberland Coast AONB. There is even a golf course in the village. The coastal path from Bambrugh takes ardent walkers all the way to Seahouses (3 miles), a large village with a bustling harbour. Alnick, Dunstanburgh and Caster (all within 16 miles) are great options for a long day out farther away from the property, each one with fascinating culinary, historical and cultural stories to tell.

The art house is such a lovely property in the perfect position on the edge of Bamburgh village. Has 2 good parking spaces and you can walk into the heart of Bamburgh and the beach in minutes. It is well furnished - sofas and beds are really comfortable. Lovely views from the bedrooms. The welcome pack is amazing - best we have had in a cottage. A Read morechocoholics dream!! We really enjoyed our week at the Art House and didn't want to leave at the end of it! It's a great location in Bamburgh with an easy walk to the beach and all the amenities of the village. The parking was ample and the enclosed garden made sure our four legged family member was safe to go outside on his own! Steve, the host is very friendly and makes contact before the holiday to explain how everything works. Inside the accommodation is lovely, with generally good quality equipment. There are two good parking spaces at the front (parking in Bamburgh can be tricky). The position is excellent, in the centre of the village, easy walk to the central Green Read moreand the sand dunes. Fabulous for dog walking! Steve is very quick to respond to any questions. Probably the most cleanest cottage I have ever stayed at. A hand rail in the shower would be useful. Beautiful cottage in a wonderful place. Nothing not to love!

This is our fourth stay at the Art House and we love it. The house is comfortable and is in an excellent location. Lovely gift basket of treats left for us plus milk and bread which was great for breakfast the next morning. We will definitely be back soon.

The cottage was perfectly situated in the centre of Bamburgh, very close to local amenities, the beach and the castle. A beautifully comfortable and clean house and very well-equipped. The host was exceptionally good at keeping in touch and making sure we had everything we needed. The house itself is in a wonderful location, and within easy walking distance of places to eat and village shops. A perfect base to explore this wonderful county.

The cottage was perfect . It is very comfortable, cosy and lovely and warm. A secure back yard for our dog was very good. Excellent position in the village, very close to pubs, restaurants and shops. Access to the amazing beach for the dog was a big plus. Lots of things to do and see in the area. We would definitely use this cottage again.

This was a last minute booking for us and we stayed for two nights on a weekend (myself, husband, two children and dog). The house was beautiful, cosy and warm when we arrived. It was spotless and well equipped with everything you could need for a break. The property is right in the middle of the village, with a driveway that can park 2 cars.
