A charming Georgian terraced cottage in the small market town of Alnwick which can sleep up to six people in three bedrooms. It’s a real find thanks to containing some original artwork by the owner and coastal decor to reflect the close proximity to the sea. Due to its location, it’s a fantastic spot to explore the wider area and some of Northumberland’s most beautiful parts.
Guests enter the hallway which has enough room for coats and shoes that have gotten muddy or sandy on any walks (though the property has a utility room and a washing machine too). From the hallway, guests go through to the lounge which has a feature fireplace providing the perfect backdrop to unwind. The comfortable seating makes kicking back to relax easy, with a TV for movie nights. The kitchen has everything you should need to create a delicious meal or two when not out enjoying Alnwick’s eateries. It even boasts its own original inglenook fireplace for a focal point when eating at the dining table or breakfast bar. Upstairs are the property’s three bedrooms. One has a super-king-size bed, one double and the other a single. The accommodation is completed with a chic family bathroom. Outside to the rear of the cottage is a small private courtyard with seating.
The location of the property is wonderful. Not only does Alnwick have a variety of facilities like pubs, shops and restaurants, it is also home to Alnwick castle - of Harry Potter fame. Guests can also easily head to the Northumberland Coast, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Alnmouth Beach, for example, is just 5 miles away, while the pretty coastline of Beadnell is 12 miles distant.
