A bijou bolthole perfect for romantic getaways in Northumberland. Guests who like an active holiday will love a stay here thanks to plenty of walks, cycling, fishing and golf being easily accessible. Plus, despite the cottage’s diminutive size, it has two gardens perfect for sitting with a drink to relax after a day out exploring.
Entrance to the cottage is from the rear, straight into the hallway - the ideal place to keep coats and boots. The kitchen is just off the hall and makes catering while on holiday easy thanks to having all modcons. Plus, there’s a handy pull-out breakfast table to make use of all the space available. You can then go through to the open-plan lounge and diner where you can sit back and relax after a busy day. There’s a wood burner for cosying up in front of to watch TV, plus a table to enjoy meals or play cards. The cottage’s shower room is also on this floor, while the bedroom is upstairs. It has a double bed and has views of the garden which can be enjoyed from the seating area with a comfortable chair. Outside, the garden has a number of tables and chairs so you can pick a spot to either read, eat or drink. There’s even a charcoal BBQ so you can dine outdoors even more easily if the weather allows.
Based in Bellingham, the cottage has easy access to the village’s restaurants and cafes for romantic meals. If you’re a golfer, there’s an 18 hole golf course nearby, but there is a plethora of outdoor activities at Kielder Forest and Water Park plus a myriad of cycling and walking trails.
