Bring your other half on a romantic retreat to this gorgeous glamping pod in a small complex on the outskirts of Shotley Bridge. Although this romantic bolthole might look small, it’s packed with everything you’ll need for a wonderful break full of indoor/outdoor living. Soak away your troubles in your private hot tub on a patio area with views of the River Derwent. The patio even has a canopy, just in case it rains – it is Northumberland after all!
This modern pod looks modest from the outside – but be prepared for a few surprises at what’s inside! Double doors with luxurious draped curtains lead into the cosy, arch-shaped space with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay in this quiet and peaceful spot. There’s an L-shaped sofa for chilling and watching the Smart TV or just for gazing outside. It’s also a sofa bed sleeping two extra guests. A high bistro table seats four on stools for dining after the chef has rustled up a holiday feast in the cute galley kitchen with a side window for extra light. At the back, you’ll find the elegant double bedroom and a door to the separate shower room. It gives a whole new meaning to small but perfectly formed! Outside, enjoy the shared garden or retreat to your own private patio and gravel area with a covered hot tub, BBQ, fire pit and comfortable outdoor furniture for sitting and listening to the river flowing by.
Walk along the river into the centre of Shotley Bridge for supplies or if you fancy a meal or a drink out in one of many pubs or eateries in the town. The North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is within 3 miles offering a whole host of sightseeing, wildlife spotting, waterfalls and outdoor pursuits.
