Delightful, spacious property in the friendly market town of Amble, with miles of sandy coastline and local attractions on the doorstep. This is a comfortable retreat for families and friends.

Situated in the welcoming harbour town of Amble, this deceptively spacious property is the ideal coastal retreat for friends/families. Amble is at the southern end of the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which incorporates over 30 miles of golden sandy beaches, sweeping dunes and breathtaking sea views. Occupying a convenient town centre location, there’s a range of shops and eateries on your doorstep, including the unique wooden retail pods in Harbour Village. Amble also has an annual Puffin Festival which celebrates the cute ‘clowns of the sea’.

Stepping inside this humble terrace house, you’ll be wowed by the sophisticated decor. Sumptuous soft furnishings, unique artwork and flamboyant fixtures pop against the neutral palette to create a stylish, yet comfortable, home. From the light and airy lounge with its comfy sofas, head into the kitchen/diner which has plenty of space for everyone to cook and dine together. Heading to the first floor, you’ll find two of the relaxing bedrooms and the family bathroom with its roll-top bath, whilst the final bedroom and en-suite is on the second floor. Outside, a small courtyard makes a great setting for a morning coffee or an evening drink.

As you’d expect from Northumberland, there is plenty of history to explore. Warkworth Castle is a 1.5-mile walk along the mouth of the River Coquet, or you can drive to Craster (13 miles) and enjoy a short coastal walk to Dunstanburgh Castle. Be sure to sample the Craster Kippers before heading home! Or perhaps you’d like to follow in the footsteps of Harry Potter, in which case enjoy a day out at Alnwick Castle (9.5 miles). If you want to take to the water, enjoy a boat trip around Coquet Island, a mile off the coast, to see the masses of seabirds, including puffins.

3 generations of our family had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful cottage. Antique chandeliers in every room and high end furnishings throughout. Well located for the harbour, shops and restaurants, all walking distance. Amble is a quiet fishing port with excellent seafood. We would love to visit again.

The house is situated in a great location just a short walk from the harbour area and the main town centre. The cul de sac was quiet the whole time we were there and we got a space outside the house every time we returned there. The pictures dont quite show how large the property is.
