Entering the property, the charming, shared hallway features a staircase leading up to this welcoming first-floor apartment. The airy, refreshing and light-filled open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is a spacious and elegantly decorated room with large windows offering views over the countryside. The lounge has plenty of seating and a Smart TV, perfect for unwinding with a favourite movie or a good book in the evening. The central dining table is ideal for sharing a fantastic family meal which you can rustle up in the fully equipped and stylishly designed kitchen. When it’s time for bed, there are three cosy bedrooms to choose from: a pretty twin room, a lovely double room and the main king-size room with an en-suite shower room and views towards the hills. Wooler has a choice of great shops, galleries, cafes, pubs and restaurants, with popular local walks including Wooler Common (1.5 miles) and Wooler Water (1 mile), and the Cheviot Hills dominating much of the northern reaches of Northumberland National Park. Other local landmarks include Chillingham Castle, Etal Castle, St Cuthbert’s Cave and the Routin Linn Waterfall (all within 10 miles).

We had a great week away from home. Settled into the property well as had everything we needed and plenty of space for the kids. Good location. Visited Bamburgh and Alnwick only 25 mins away, would recommend the steam train at Etal if taking kids.

Apartment was spacious and comfortable with great views across to the hills. The apartment is modern and light, with a high standard of finish, plenty of equipment with a small welcome pack including tea, milk sachets and biscuits. The small town of Wooler has a good range of amenities, including the Tankerville Arms an easy stroll away. The glorioRead moreus beaches are around 15 minutes away. Lovely spacious apartment in a very pleasant village. There is ample space and there is enough room for a family to spread around. The apartment is new and all furnishing etc are in great condition. The village has lovely shops and the Italian restaurant is great for dinner. Only downside was the road nearby which can get a bit noisy at times.
