Staying on the mainland, you can take the coastal path to Bamburgh (3.5 miles north) or Beadnell (2 miles south). Other local attractions include Howick Hall Gardens and Arboretum (11.5 miles), Dunstanburgh Castle (10.5 miles) and The Alnwick Garden (15.5 miles).
