Perfect for couples or a family seeking a tranquil retreat, this delightful cottage features a wood-fired hot tub, a pretty conservatory, a light-filled summerhouse, two warming wood burners and wonderful rural views. Ideal for keen walkers, cyclists and nature lovers, this beautiful property is set within Northumberland’s Dark Sky Park, with Kielder Water and Forest Park and the wonderful National Nature Reserves of Kielderhead and Whitelee Moor all nearby.

Stepping into this attractive semi-detached cottage, the light and welcoming lounge features plenty of seating, a TV and wood burner, and is an ideal space to snuggle up and unwind with a favourite movie. Featuring a wide range of equipment, the sociable and spacious kitchen/diner is perfect for cooking and sharing all your favourite family meals. Overlooking the garden, the conservatory provides a great space to sit back with a good book. The ground floor also features a stylish family bathroom. Two king-size bedrooms are upstairs, one en-suite and one with an additional double sofa bed. Stepping outside, the mature and fully enclosed garden has a large lawn, a private hot tub, a delightful summerhouse with a wood burner, and plenty of outdoor furniture providing an ideal spot for a morning coffee or for spending a night stargazing. You’re also welcome to pick seasonal fruit including raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, rhubarb and damsons.

The cottage is perfect for exploring the wonderful Northumberland National Park, with local landmarks and attractions including Hindhope Linn (1.5 miles), Bremenium Roman Fort (5 miles) and Black Middens Bastle House (15 miles). There are numerous walks and trails to follow, including the Pennine Way, with Kielder Water and Forest Park also offering plenty of great activities (12 miles).

The cottage is beautiful, peaceful, welcoming, well equipped and comfortable. We felt it was perfect for our needs and we would like to come back. The area provided great walks in natural surroundings, it was tranquil and cosy for those wintry nights. Loved it.

This is the best cottage we have stayed in! The location is amazing and extremely quiet. With no fireworks nearby it was perfect for our dogs! With a secure large garden they had a great time. The area has loads of walks on the doorstep too. The woodburner was fantastic with lots of wood onsite there was no need to get any ourselves. Fab location & quiet even tho close to main road. Great star gazing on a clear night. Good walks. secure garden for dogs. A lot of felling of local forest. Comfy beds. Lovely cottage felt like home from home straight away. Welcome pack is a lovely touch really enjoyed the log burner hot tub once it's heated up it's easily kept warm with few burn cycles the next day. Lovely garden lots of space. Cottage had everything you would need. Really enjoyed our 3 nights at forest edge cottage.

We had a faultless stay at this property last week, it really was a home from home. The location was fantastic-walks out of the gate straight into the forest, and we have never seen so many different birds in the garden. We loved it but I think the dogs loved it more! Lovely cosy cottage, well equipped and comfortable. Nice basket of treats on arrival. Plenty of logs for the hot tub/fires. We had a relaxing time and loved all the bird visitors. Friendly owner. Would definitely stay again.

Forest Edge was a lovely comfy cottage. The Aga in the kitchen kept the place toasty. We used the log burner and switched off the radiators which added to the atmosphere. We had a little emergency during our stay which was all of our own making. Although this situation had nothing to do with the cottage, Karen sorted out our logistics and the cottaRead morege owner was a "hands on" assistance. Amazing place would love to visit again. Possibly in the summer to get more time to look around the forest. Also looking at the stars at night in the log burning hot tub really relaxing.

Lovely Cottage, in a lovely part of the country. Great back garden, very enjoyable watching the birds. The 3 Kings and River walks straight from the cottage were very picturesque, even in the rain.

Great location for Kielder forest and Scottish borders. We found log burning hot tub difficult, but we may just be poor fire starters! Summer house fab when you stoke up the log burner, very cosy/hot!

Fabulous cottage, tucked away just within Kielder Forest. Extremely well equipped and very dog friendly, enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and wildlife, which included a wide range of birds, deer and a weasel! Had a lovely time there, and dogs seemed to enjoy even more than us.

We had a fabulous holiday at the cottage. The place itself is in a beautiful spot, far enough off the main road so that you dont hear any road noise, but close when you want to get out and about! The cottage is really nicely decorated and thought through - some very thoughtful touches and when we arrived there was bread, biscuits, milk, even some fRead morelowers and a bottle of wine! This is a lovely cottage in a really beautiful location. The garden is so peaceful and full of birds and there are plenty of walks for dogs. Inside is lovely and well equipped. Had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend here for a holiday.

The cottage is very comfortable and in a great peaceful location despite being close to the A68. It was good to be able to take the dogs on a good walk straight from the door. The birds on the bird feeders kept us entertained at mealtimes, they emptied them very quickly and we bought some more to replenish. The fat balls were a particular favouriteRead more. Wow a fabulous property, great layout and a beautiful garden. Location spot on for walks some available straight from the property. Central location which is great for exploring the area. The wood fired hot tub took a couple of attempts to get the temperature right but is definitely worth it. Would definitely return again.

Cosy and warm cottage in beautiful quiet location. Walked straight into the forest from the cottage so didn't need the car except for an odd trip to the local shops. We couldn't get the hob to work on our first night at the cottage and owner came out and solved the problem for us. We are hoping to book the cottage again
