The town is a fantastic base for following the route of Hadrian’s Wall, with nearby attractions including Corbridge Roman Town, Vindolanda, the Temple of Mithras and Housesteads Roman Fort (all within 15 miles). The cottage is also close to the North Pennines (3.5 miles) and Northumberland National Park (10 miles).
