Just a couple of miles from the heart of the historic town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, this bright and friendly holiday property makes a fantastic retreat for families, friends and couples. Perfect for exploring the Northumberland coastline, this tranquil getaway offers fantastic accommodation for four guests. The apartment is situated close to the golden sands of the glorious Spittal Beach, with chances to glimpse the occasional dolphin. Enjoying a superb view out to sea, this appropriately named first-floor apartment is perfect for keen walkers and cyclists exploring this magnificent area.

 

Entering this charming first-floor apartment, the open-plan lounge/diner provides a fantastic living area, perfect for relaxing in at the end of a great day. The lounge features a large picture window with far-reaching sea views, as well as a Smart TV and plenty of comfortable seating. The light and airy kitchen has a useful range of equipment so you can enjoy a fantastic family meal around the foldaway dining table. Exploring this spacious and relaxing property further, a step leads up into an invigorating shower room, and there are two colourful bedrooms: a cosy double and a super-king-size room with sea views from the large window. Outside at the front there is a small area of lawn, patio table and chairs are provided so that you can sit with a drink and enjoy the sea views. Allocated off-road parking is available for one car, and there’s also secure bike storage in the garage.

 

The pretty Victorian seaside village of Spittal has a beautiful beach and a wonderful promenade, and is within easy reach of Berwick-upon-Tweed (2 miles). Close to the Scottish border, Berwick has a range of great restaurants, pubs and historic sites to discover. As well as some lovely beaches, local attractions include Etal Castle (10.5 miles), Norham Castle (8 miles) and St Cuthbert’s Cave (13 miles), or you can take a trip out to Lindisfarne (13 miles).

The view from this first floor flat is amazing and in a very quiet location with an easy walk into Berwick where there are plenty of options for eating out.

The property was in a superb condition with a view to die for, we were watching dolphins from the lounge window. I would suggest to prospective visitors that the walk from the dedicated parking spot is quite a long way and the steps up to the first floor apartment are quite steep.

First floor flat, very clean and tidy. Kitchen equipment was.of a very good standard.The view from front window is spectacular and the Dolphins gave us a show most days!!I There is also a regular bus service into Berwick for anyone not wishing to use their car.

The flat was beutiful clean and well equiped the view from the living room was fantastic, you could sit watching the sea summer or winter. We had a lovely relaxing time.

The highlight of this property is the fab view over the promenade and out to sea. The flat was clean and the beds were very comfortable.

You certainly couldn't be nearer to the seashore when staying here! Sea views were great and the apartment was comfortable and clean. It might be useful to emphasise that staying in the apartment means that luggage has to be carried quite a distance from the car and the accommodation is up quite steep stairs. Great location and the view from the living area is fantastic. The kitchen is mainly well equipped. The apartment would benefit from a few improvements that can easily me made. Some basics that you often find in other cottages weren't provided, like kitchen roll, clingfilm and tea and coffee. But then that might be reflected in the price.

A very clean and comfortable apartment, exactly as described and pictured. Slept well in superking, very comfortable bed, falling asleep to the sound of the sea. Amazing view from front windows. Overall a very enjoyable and relaxing stay, would definitely recommend.

This is a lovely first floor apartment in small row of modern terraces. The views are outstanding and the accommodation well planned with an enormous super king sized bed which is extremely comfortable. Fabulous setting but the flat itself is in poor repair. Welcome pack consisted of a single teabag. Lots of notes asking us not to open windows. We complied, but it was terribly hot weather.

My friend and I enjoyed our stay in this comfortable and well equipped apartment. The view from the apartment is stunning, Spittal looked fresh, well cared for, beautiful gardens and spotlessly clean beach. We were amazed to find an efficient and regular bus service just outside the apartment which enabled us to visit Berwick and further afield. Lovely stay, beautiful location. We enjoyed slow mornings watching the wildlife including dolphins and headed out to all sorts of places. Day visit to Edinburgh and Newcastle by train and Alnwick castle Bamburgh, Seahouses and Farne Island boat tour. Clean, comfortable and well equipped property in a superb location. The sea views are amazing, and how lovely to go to sleep and wake up to the sound of the waves. Having a parking space is also very useful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I could not recommend this property as it is at the moment. While the view is spectacular, there were too many issues for us to enjoy our stay: a smelly damp patch with flaking paint in the entrance, a bare wire sticking out of the wall, windows that didn't open properly, no shower mat or rail, no patio as advertised, just a space underneath a neigRead morehbour's window, dead roses left on the table, steep narrow stairs into the living room and a paltry 3 dishwasher tablets. The situation of the flat was great having a view of the sea and treated to a wonderful display of pods of dolphins every day during our stay!! It would be helpful to give directions from the North as well as from the South. I had to purchase two 4.5 tog duvets as the ones provided were winter weight of 13.5 tog and 10.5 tog.
