With an envious location in Warenford, a peaceful Northumbrian village with fantastic access to the rest of this exciting region, Waren View offers lovely self-catering accommodation for up to five guests. Within the village you will find a great pub serving delicious food just moments from the cottage. You can enjoy cycling through country lanes from Warenford out to the surrounding coast and countryside, which is just perfect for a sunny afternoon.

The house offers an open-plan lounge, dining and kitchen area with French doors opening onto the patio, where you can enjoy the last of the evening sun and dine alfresco with ease. The kitchen is modern and well equipped with everything you will need. Upstairs you will find three bedrooms, one double with en-suite bathroom, one twin room and a further single bedroom. There is also a family bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC.

Just over a 20 minute drive away you will find the magical Holy Island, which can only be reached at low tide when the sea lowers to reveal the only road to the island (please check tide times before you visit). Standing proud 100 feet above the sea on a rocky crag is Lindisfarne Priory, the main attraction of the island which is brimming with history and represents a pivotal point in local history.

Five miles outside of Warenford towards the coast lies Bamburgh, a beautiful village which welcomes many tourists year after year. Looking over the village is the iconic Bamburgh Castle, with a history that dates back to prehistoric times and today is recognised as one of the largest inhabited castles in the country. No visit to Bamburgh would be complete without stepping inside this famed castle. Bamburgh was also once home to a true heroine, Grace Darling, who risked her life venturing out into stormy waters in 1838 to save a group of shipwrecked sailors. You can visit the RNLI Grace Darling Museum and learn all about the rescue.

Whilst the Northumberland coast offers many exciting attractions and days out, further inland there is also plenty to see and do. Alnwick Castle offers an informative yet fun day out, try your hand at broomstick training in the same spot Harry Potter famously realised his flair for flying, or step inside the castle and view the state rooms. The Alnwick Garden also makes for an interesting visit, with the centrepiece being the huge cascade waterfall and attractions including the famous poison garden and various captivating water features (watch out as you might just end up getting splashed by these!). The town of Alnwick is also very popular with its cobbled streets and varied shops, restaurants and cafes.

A lovely cottage in a lovely quiet village. Well equipped with a great pool on site. Great to be opposite a pub, be it quite pricey. It had excellent food though. Would definitely recommend to friends and family and we would stay there again if the mattress in the double bedroom was replaced.

Had a great stay at Warren view, perfect location for touring the area. House had all utensils and equipment that we needed. The private use of the pool/sauna was a huge plus, we used it every day. The White Swan pub across the road is a lovely pub for a drink in the sun. Would have preferred if Warren view garden was fully enclosed, and the image Read moreshown is a bit misleading as you are only renting the left hand side of the picture, not the whole place. But overall a lovely break away. Hide

I felt the picture on the website was not the same representation of the cottage, it looks like you are getting the whole of the cottage but it's a semi. We really enjoyed the facilities, the pool, tennis court was available when needed. lovely assistants in Purdy Logde very helpful, we had a beautiful meal at the White Swan across the road, would Read morerecommend. A super cottage in a great location for exploring the surrounding area with a very nice swimming pool for the residents to use. Can be slightly noisy due to being right next to the road but otherwise first class!! Might be nice to have access to a BBQ for the nice weather.
