Absolutely perfect spot in Alnmouth. Bright spacious flat that was well equipped. However it needs a little money spent on it...a few issues with appliances not working..5 adults and 1 shower is unusual nowadays but it was OK as all family members. The flat is cosy and has a lived in feel if thats what you enjoy. Could have done with a deep clean bRead moreut the views from the living room area do compensate for any shortcomings. Ceri responded quickly and with genuine empathy to a few issues we had. Location is just perfect but flat needs a makeover. Hide

We loved Mariners - particularly the living room space - different sitting areas, great views, cosy and warm. Cracking location - we didnt use the car for the holiday as we walked or bussed to places. Well be back!

The property would benefit from a second bathroom or loo !! It can be tricky with 6 people and one facility! Parking is always a bit of a challenge in Alnmouth as there is no dedicated space at Mariners House , but you learn to cope ! The stairs are also quite steep so not ideal for anyone with mobility issues or heavy kit . However the location anRead mored view outweigh these issues and the service from Ceri and her team is absolutely wonderful. Highly recommended and we return as often as we can ! Hide

I would find it difficult to recommend this property ( see above)while the outside courtyard at the back and the skip and portable toilet re main in front. I realise this has been caused to some extent by the refurbishment in the upper flat which has been going on for some time . Lovely views and good weather so holiday not spoiled but my daughtersRead more stayed in o the properties in the village of Alnmouth in better condition and at considerably cost. Truly gorgeous views, centrally located with an easy family friendly feel. ( Not recommended for those with mobility issues,) Parking can be awkward during busy days, otherwise this is great retreat.

The location is incredible, right above the golf course in beautiful Alnmouth. The views of the sea are amazing and we all loved sitting in the alcoves. Well equipped kitchen and house, easy to use and plenty of space for 6 people. ONE bathroom is a limitation and got annoying for us with 4 adults and 2 children. Mariners house is a beautiful well loved apartment with a location to die for. The tastefully and quirky furniture and decorations give the property incredible character and comfort. The owner was caring and easy to contact responding very quickly to our question and needs. The views from the two bay windows are something we will never forget.

This cottage is in need of a complete refurbishment. The bath was old and awful (even the plug didn't fit and a flannel was needed to stop the water draining away!) The kitchen oven trays were so awful they were unusable without tin foil. The floors were filthy and our summer white socks have now been thrown away!
