Beach Retreat is part of a farm conversion in the popular hamlet of Low Newton on Sea with direct access to the beach and coastal walks to Embleton, Craster and Dunstanburgh Castlen. This is a 3 bedroom, single storey cottage offers ample space for up to 6 guests. As the property is ideally situated right next to the beach and the beautiful sandy dunes, it also benefits from stunning views from the lounge and bedroom south facing windows. Beach Retreat makes an ideal holiday or short break for families and friends whatever the season.

At the front of the cottage there is a grassed area, ideal for enjoying the afternoon and evening sun of Newton Bay and beyond. The beach, a safe, sandy expanse which stretches south towards Dunstanburgh Castle, is just a few steps from the house and the proximity of the small village green with the much praised local hostelry called The Ship Inn, is an added bonus.

Beach Retreat now offers free guest Wi-Fi , Smart TV, Netflix and BT Sport.

Bed linen, towels, heating and hot water are provided.

This cottage accepts up to two well-behaved dogs.

Note: From January 2021 the 2 sets of bunk beds will be changed for 2 single beds.

  • Please note: there is no dedicated electric car charging facility at this property. You can find the nearest electric vehicle charging point just 2 miles away (local charges apply)
  • Arrival: 17:00 onwards
  • Departure: before 10:00, unless otherwise stated in your arrival details
  • 2 dogs allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week
  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £250 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £30. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

Fabulous location, beautifully renovated and very warm with the controllable radiators and woodburner. Only negatives are that there is no bath so not ideal for families with small children, dining for 6 is a very tight squeeze in the kitchen, and the loss of the porch that used to be there means dogs have to come straight into the kitchen or livinRead moreg room from outside, which can be messy. However, still wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and we're definitely looking forward to going back. Hide

What a beautiful holiday cottage, one of the best we have stayed in and in a perfectly beautiful restful location. Extremely well, and comfortably equipped to a very high standard. Simply wonderful, from the location to the cottage itself, can't recommend enough for a simple chilled holiday. It suited three generations and Bill the cocker spaniel.
