In a peaceful residential area of Alnwick, you will be inundated with ideas for places to visit and spend time on your Northumberland holiday.

Alnwick is home to one of the best-loved and widely known castles in the UK, instantly recognisable from a number of feature films; most movie fans will know it from the Harry Potter series.

Northumberland is one of the most unspoilt areas of Northern England with several national parks and miles of open coastline, home to wide sandy beaches and big skies. Visit Bamburgh Castle, Hadrian’s Wall, the beaches at Morpeth and Seahouses. Outdoor lovers will enjoy taking to Simonside Hills for cycling, horse riding, hiking and more.

This well-presented 21st century property is a pleasant home-from-home complete with contemporary trappings and enhancements. The lounge/dining area centres around an electric, coal-burner effect fire, cosy seating and a TV. At the opposite end of the living space is a large dining table to enjoy family meals together. French doors open out to the garden.

The kitchen comes complete with an electric hob and oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and a microwave. There is a useful utility room which houses the washing machine and tumble dryer. Also on the ground-floor in the converted garage is a ‘cool’ games room with its own TV, games console and a ping-pong table for hours of unadulterated fun. Upstairs are three bedrooms, one king-size with an en-suite shower room with WC, one single, and one double. The main bathroom is nearby containing with a shower over the bath and WC.

Outside is a spacious enclosed garden with a seating area and BBQ.

  • 3 bedrooms: 1 king, 1 double, 1 single with pull out bed
  • 3 bathrooms - 1 en-suite with shower and WC, 1 WC, 1 bathroom with shower over a bath
  • Electric oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave
  • Utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer

The property is situated in a newish estate and is very handy for access to the town. Is is a modern 3 bedroom property suitable for 5 people and possibly 6. Some aspects need attention but overall it is a nice property.

We really enjoyed our stay here, it's a very nicely decorated house with great facilities. It's very easy to walk into Alnwick and drive to various beaches up and down the coast. The house has a great amount of space and we were very comfortable.
