February Half Term Fun. Our Top Ten Things To Do

1. Howick Hall – Snow Drop Festival

Visit the impressive Howick Hall, home of the Early Grey Tea and take a wander around the impressive grounds enjoying the Snowdrops before stepping inside the Hall to have a cup of the famous tea!


2. Big Family Adventure at Alnwick Garden

Come and enjoy a walk around the garden before visiting the Pavillion Cafe to warm up with a nice hot drink and try one of our tasty snacks. There are lots to keep the family entertained with toy boxes and arty activities for younger children and classic board games for the whole family to enjoy. There will also be live music in the Pavillion and a selection of daily papers for those who simply want to relax and unwind.
 

3. Fairy Trail at Belsay Hall
Seek out the English fairytales hidden around the grounds at Belsay Hall. Event on between 10am to 4pm free event once admission paid.

 


4. Beamish Museum

Opening this week is the new 1940’s style Farm. Over the half term holidays, there will be a whole host of activities for you to participate in from Home Front stories of wartime life in the rural north east of England. Don’t forget to enjoy a last skate on the open air ice rink.

5. Family Trail at Lindisfarne Castle

Trail runs throughout the castle. Please collect trails from Entrance Hall retail desk inside the Castle. Family £2. Event running from 12pm till 3 pm.

6. Gibside

Free family activities and outdoor activities every day of half term including Explorer Monday, Foodie Tuesday, Wildlife Wednesday, Adventure Thursday and Fab Friday.


7. Alnwick Garden

See two golden cherub’s scooting around the garden and watch the slinky’s fall in love. Great entertainment for all!

8. Cragside 

February half term fun at Cragside. Discover the wonder of science by completing a Science Quest or make a miniature garden with our gardeners.

 

9. Seahouses Hub

Entertain all the family by watching  Moshi Monsters the Movie. Movie starts at 3pm. Doors open from 2.30pm. Tickets are available by calling: 01665 721 868.


 

10. Pirates and Princesses Day at Kirkley Hall Zoological Gardens
Come along and join Pirate Captain Raggy Beard for our Pirates and Princesses day. As well as meeting all the lovely animals, the day will be packed with fun and adventure including games, treasure hunts and story telling. If you come dressed as either a pirate or a princess, the best costumes will win a prize!
