Newcastle Farmers Market held on the first Friday of every month at Grey's Monument between 9.30am till 2.00pm.
Newcastle Quayside Market
There is also a market on every Sunday on the Quayside. This is a very popular market held every week on Sunday between 9.30-4pm. You'll find artists, designers, jewellers, food producers, photographers, ceramic artists and fashionistas as well as street artists and buskers.
Moving Stories is a brand new exhibition to Seven Stories which openend in April this year. All areas of the exhibition will focus on different aspects of storytelling and featured stories include Alice in Wonderland, The Gruffalo and The Borrowers as well as fairy tales including Snow White, Cinderella and Shrek. With 7 floors to explore including the creative station, the Cafe, the Artist's Attic, Book Lab and Story Den, there is lots for children to see and do!
The Northumberland Music Festival has a host of new performers as well as all time favourites.
Performed in Guyzance, Eshott and Doxford Halls over the 3 weekends of the Festival period. Tickets also include a gourmet dinner, supper, or a traditional lunch.
Recognising the musical talents and ambitions of North Easterners is also a key feature of the 2014 Festival, with a new vocal and instrumental competition, the Northumberland Music Festival Awards, and a Workshop/Masterclass session given by Graeme Danby.
