Alnwick Castle has been the location for all kinds of films productions and television programmes - most famously taking the starring role of Hogwarts in the first two Harry Potter films.
Alnwick Castle and the surrounding parkland of Hulne Park offer a dramatic and unspoilt setting for filmmakers.
Most famously in recent years, Alnwick Castle has featured as Hogwarts in the first two Harry Potter movies. Scenes filmed at Alnwick Castle include the flying lesson in Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone and the crash landing of the flying Ford Anglia in Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets.
