We were amazed at the sheer space available for what looks from the outside to be such a small property. It was also comfortably furnished and well equipped.
We were amazed with Breakwater Cottage as on the approach it seemed to be so small, however once inside one finds room after room all of an impressive size, and most comfortable. It is a veritable TARDIS.
This is the second cottage we have stayed in through yourselves, we were most impressed with the first one and would have stayed there had the dates been available. Breakwater cottage was our second choice however both my wife and I fell in love with this property! Everything was consistently presented in both but Breakwater definitely has the edge.I would definitely recommend Cottages in Northumberland to family or friends on the strength of our stays up to now.
Restaurants we tried and were impressed with include the Swan Inn, The Links and for Indian take away, the Spice House.

The cottage was very clean and welcoming all amenities are within walking distance some very nice local attractions i.e. Bamburgh Castle and Holy Island and some good eating places and pubs all within walking distance so no need for a car once you've arrived. Thoroughly enjoyed and will be going back soon.

Clean, well equipped, comfortable, lovely bedding and very quiet. Just used cottage as a base so didn't unfortunately spend much time there. Metro Centre as confusing as ever but good for a wet day out. Too many castles to list but treehouse at Alnwick is fantastic and Walkworth is a lovely village with a great beach and scenic walks by the castle.

We have visited the North East many times in the past but have never discovered the delights of Seahouses until now. Your cottage is excellent – clean, spacious and has all the mod cons that anyone could ask for. The huge TV was particularly appreciated. Seahouses itself has evertything you need in one compact village. We especially enjoyed visits to Bambugh Castle, Alnwick Castle, Cragside and the boat trip to the Farne Islands.

Beautiful weather and scenery. The walk to Bamburgh from Seahouses is what drew us to the area and did not disappoint. We also enjoyed a day on Holy Island with a visit to Lindsfarne Castle. The cottage lived up to expectations and the TV was perfect to watch the fantastic Olympics on. Great Seaside Holiday !

The Pledger Family - 13 August 2011
The cottage was of a fantastic standard, beautifully decorated and clean. The kitchen offered everything which was needed, which isn’t always the case in self catering cottages. The bedrooms were huge and the living room meant there was so much space for everyone to live for the week comfortably. The TV with Sky+ was fantastic for the children when it rained. The bathroom and shower were fantastic. A real pleasure to stay, and it was hard to leave ! - August 2011
