This small, white washed stone cottage is a great, seaside getaway for two. Located in the village of Seahouses, Little Flores is only short walk to all the amenities, the beach and the harbour. Newly and attractively renovated with a cosy open fire, this cottage offers very comfortable accommodation in a central, coastal location.
The entrance leads into a modern, well equipped kitchen with everything you might need to prepare a meal or make a snack for the beach. The cosy living room with comfortable seating and open fire is the ideal place for two people to relax after a day exploring this stunning, heritage coastline. The dining area has a large dining table with seating for two and a bookcase with games and books. The stairs lead up to a lovely, bright double bedroom with a plenty of storage space. Upstairs, you will also find the modern bathroom with an electric shower over the bath. With modern, electric convector heating and an open fire in the living room, Little Flores is a cosy getaway all year round with easy access to the main attractions of the area.
Accommodation:
Kitchen: Modern kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave oven, fridge with freezer compartment, kettle,cafetiere, toaster and washing machine.
Living/ Dining Room: Cosy living room with original slate floor, rug, comfortable sofa, arm chair, coffee table, TV with Freeview, a DVD/CD/photo player, a selection of books and DVDs and an open fire.( there is an initial supply of logs provided between the dates of 30th September to 30th April). Bedroom: Double bedroom with bedside drawers and lamps, wardrobe and chest of drawers, heating.
Bathroom: Modern bathroom with electric shower over bath, wash basin and WC.
Please note that bed linen and towels are included in the cost of your booking.
One well behaved dog is welcome.
Outside: Please note: PLEASE NOTE THIS COTTAGE IS SITUATED BEHIND A LOCAL PUB. Parking is available near to the cottage in the adjacent pub car park.
Location:
At Seahouses you are literally surrounded by stunning scenery and spoilt for choice for things to do and places to visit. Within a short walk of the cottage are many attractions of Seahouses itself. The harbour is just around the corner and there are many pubs, shops and restaurants to choose from along Main Street.
The Farne Islands and all that they offer can be reached by regular boat trips from Seahouses harbour. (one company even takes dogs on board!) The islands are a real treat for bird lovers and geologists and this trip makes for a memorable day out for all the family.
The historic town of Alnwick is only 10 miles away where you will find a thriving, historic market town with some interesting and unusual shops, restaurants and coffee stops! You will also find a large Sainsbury's here as well as as many of the popular high strret banks. Even if you are not green fingered, a visit to Alnwick Gardens is a must, where you can stroll around the stunning gardens and waterfalls. Harry Potter fans of all ages should visit Alnwick Castle (or Hogwart’s School) and relive some of the favourite scenes from the popular films.
The Heritage coastline is dotted with Northumberland's famous castles and beautiful villages not to mention the many stunning beaches – ideal for walking all year round. The Cheviot Hills are only a short drive away offering superb views tempting you to make the crossing over to Holy Island and Lindisfarne. Alternatively, a stroll along the coast to Bamburgh's magnificent Castle (only 1 mile away) or a visit to Holy Island are both ideal for family days out.
