With colourful accents and cheerful features, this delightful family property offers a place for six guests to stay in rural Northumberland. Within easy access to the area’s AONB coastline and close to the Cheviot Hills, deep in the Northumberland National Park, you’ll be well positioned to get stuck into adventure throughout your stay here. The property itself is located in the chocolate box village of Chatton, complete with a village pub and a trout fishery just half a mile away. As well as fishing, there are opportunities for surfing, hiking, ball games at the beach and bike rides.
Pass the pretty wrap-around garden with lawn space and outdoor seating when entering this sandstone property. Large windows, high ceilings and bright, contemporary furniture add character to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner on the ground floor, a fantastic space to unwind at any time of day. Use the French doors to access the patio in the summer months or curl up with the wood burner on in the corner when the weather gets chilly. A downstairs double bedroom and wet room complete this floor, and a king-size bedroom, a twin and a second family bathroom await upstairs. All three bedrooms are exceptionally comfortable with windows letting in plenty of natural light.
The village of Chatton is just 5 miles outside of Wooler, a wonderful market town on the edge of Northumberland’s National Park (6 miles). Independent shops, historic churches and quality eateries can be found here, and it’s also set at the foothill of the Cheviot Hills with hiking routes that start at the centre of town. In the opposite direction, reach the coastline within 10 miles. Bamburgh (10 miles) is a must-visit destination with its coastal castle, beautiful beach and unbeatable Farne Island views.
