With colourful accents and cheerful features, this delightful family property offers a place for six guests to stay in rural Northumberland. Within easy access to the area’s AONB coastline and close to the Cheviot Hills, deep in the Northumberland National Park, you’ll be well positioned to get stuck into adventure throughout your stay here. The property itself is located in the chocolate box village of Chatton, complete with a village pub and a trout fishery just half a mile away. As well as fishing, there are opportunities for surfing, hiking, ball games at the beach and bike rides.

Pass the pretty wrap-around garden with lawn space and outdoor seating when entering this sandstone property. Large windows, high ceilings and bright, contemporary furniture add character to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner on the ground floor, a fantastic space to unwind at any time of day. Use the French doors to access the patio in the summer months or curl up with the wood burner on in the corner when the weather gets chilly. A downstairs double bedroom and wet room complete this floor, and a king-size bedroom, a twin and a second family bathroom await upstairs. All three bedrooms are exceptionally comfortable with windows letting in plenty of natural light.

The village of Chatton is just 5 miles outside of Wooler, a wonderful market town on the edge of Northumberland’s National Park (6 miles). Independent shops, historic churches and quality eateries can be found here, and it’s also set at the foothill of the Cheviot Hills with hiking routes that start at the centre of town. In the opposite direction, reach the coastline within 10 miles. Bamburgh (10 miles) is a must-visit destination with its coastal castle, beautiful beach and unbeatable Farne Island views.

Lovely comfortable cottage in a good location, Chatton is a nice quiet village with a small general store and pub. Wooler only few miles with shops and Milan, italian restaurant which is really good. Sunnyhills farm shop at Belford also very good and not far to Berwick and Spittal.

We loved our stay, it's a home away from home. Stunning inside and out, beautifully furnished and lovely welcome gift. We almost don't want to leave a review in the hope of keeping it quiet! We will definitely book again.

The cottage was very comfortable and lovely and warm. It was perfect for a family break, especially having a ground floor bedroom and bathroom for the less mobile. The single beds are a good size and suitable for adults. All the furnishings are very good quality and it's easy to relax. We would definitely stay here again. Chatton is a very peacefulRead more little village with a pub that does good meals. Hide

This is a gorgeous cottage, beautifully done up and clearly loved. We really enjoyed our stay. Location was ideal to explore the beautiful coast and beaches and castles. The cottage was very well equipped with everything we needed. The beds were comfy, towels fluffy and everything spotlessly clean.

What a fabulous place 'Under the Stars' is. Spacious and comfortable with all amenities. Chatton is a great little village, about 6 miles from Wooler, a lovely town, with one of the best Italian restaurants I visited. If I had the money, I'd try and buy the cottage. Northumberland is the best county!

Under the Stars is a beautiful, modern house in a lovely location. The open plan layout downstairs is very pleasant and there was plenty space for all six of us. The furniture is attractive, comfortable and well chosen and the big windows let in lots of light. The bathrooms are spacious and the bedrooms are comfortable. The whole house is immaculatRead moree and very well equipped. We had a lovely family holiday and would highly recommend to other groups like ourselves (grandparents, parents and two children). Hide

Lovely modern property, but still with character, in a very peaceful location (with a nice pub just round the corner). Really well appointed - everything was new, stylish and modern (although I had to read the instruction manuals to work everything!). Fantastic views of the Chilterns if you walk 3 minutes up the bridle path at the bottom of the garRead moreden. Easy to get to the coast etc. We needed a property with easy access and a wetroom for a disabled member of the party and although no specifically accessible features such as grab rails there was sufficient information on the website to judge that it would be suitable and it was more or less perfect for him. (The pub was less accessible but we managed!) Hide
