This chocolate box cottage with space inside for six invites families and friends to get together on Northumberland’s AONB coast. The semi-detached property, which is also dog friendly, is an entirely modern space for your group to stay, complete with quality tech for entertainment, a large kitchen for rustling up delicious dinners and a generously proportioned south-facing garden for those unforgettable alfresco evenings. It’s just a short walk (0.5 miles) to Alnmouth’s sandy beach and you’ll pass by plenty of village shops, pubs and restaurants en route, perfect for picking up a gift or two and grabbing a bite to eat in-between dips in the sea and ball games on the sand.
Decorated in a modern Scandi style with nautical accents throughout, this holiday home is stylish and modern. On the ground floor, you’ll be pleased to find a handy utility room next door to the kitchen/diner, the best place to step into after an afternoon on the beach. There’s also an outdoor tap for giving sandy feet and paws a clean-down first. An archway leads from the dining space into the ever-comfortable lounge, a spot with cushy seating, a Smart TV, a Bose speaker and a wood burner that makes for incredible evenings indoors. Moving upstairs, two king-size bedrooms and a twin bedroom wait for uninterrupted nights of sleep.
Set off on an exceptional walk along Northumberland’s vast coastal pathway, heading north to the fishing village of Craster (7.5 miles) or south to picturesque Amble (6 miles). You must always keep your eye on the horizon when walking, looking out for a basking seal or a puffin at the water’s edge. Heading inland, the town of Alnwick (4.5 miles) is a must-visit. The town is home to the fabulous Alnwick Castle, a filming destination for Downton Abbey and Harry Potter.
