Enjoy a wonderful seaside holiday spent exploring the beautiful Northumberland coast from this single-storey cottage. It’s perfect for a break with your friends or family, and four-legged friends, with a gorgeous sociable living space warmed by a wood burner, and an enclosed patio for making the most of the sunshine.
The charming cottage oozes contemporary style, with comfy furnishings and traditional features, like the gorgeous wooden beams in the lounge and bedrooms. Step into the impressive high-vaulted open-plan living area, where you can spend evenings relaxing on the sofas, with the wood burner keeping you cosy and your favourite TV show on. Create tasty meals in the kitchen, where you’ll find everything you need to cook up a storm, and get together to enjoy them at the dining table. Then, head to bed in the two pretty bedrooms, a double room and a twin room; both have TVs for late-night viewing snuggled up in bed. There’s also a family shower room for you to use. On warm days, take your coffee outside and relax on the secluded patio with a good book. You can arrange storage in the garage for your beach gear and bikes if you need to.
Wander to Seahouses’ pretty working harbour, a few hundred metres away, grab a coffee and lunch at the nearby coffee shops and pubs, and explore the town’s shops. Book dinner at a local restaurant offering locally caught seafood. Go for a walk along the long, sandy beach (1 mile) to Bamburgh (3.5 miles). Or book a boat trip to see the wildlife on the Farne Islands – home to seals, terns, and puffins, as well as Longstone Lighthouse which was the home and workplace of local heroine Grace Darling who saved the survivors of a wrecked steamship in 1838.
