Heading east, you can take a trip to the historic Holy Island, also known as Lindisfarne (9 miles). The stunning Northumberland National Park (9 miles), the bustling Berwick-upon-Tweed (12 miles) and the impressive Bamburgh Castle (14.5 miles) are also within easy reach.
