You are midway between two spectacular castles on this scenic coastline, magnificent Bamburgh (5.5 miles) and dramatic Dunstanburgh (9.5 miles). Towering above the village, medieval Bamburgh Castle is also the site of the RNLI Grace Darling Museum, commemorating the Victorian heroine who saved shipwreck survivors. Take a boat trip from historic Seahouses (1.5 miles) out to the Farne Islands, to see puffins and seals in this important wildlife sanctuary.
