Gather your loved ones for a holiday in Amble. You’ll be staying in a charming, period cottage, located in a coastal town with plenty of incredible wildlife all around. There’s space for a medium mixed group and their dogs within this accommodation, so pack the pack and don’t forget your sunhat!

As you enter the property you’ll find a small hallway, where you can store coats, shoes and any outdoor gear. Continue through to the kitchen/diner, a lovely space with plenty of great features and wooden finishes. There’s a Dolce Gusto coffee machine, a slow cooker and an air fryer as well as all the usual appliances, so know that you’ll be eating well during your stay. The other downstairs room is a lounge, done in shades of blue, completed by an electric wood burner. Head upstairs, where there are three bedrooms. The first has a double bed, the second has a 4ft double bed, and finally there’s a single bedroom, perfect for a younger member of the party. The last room is a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. To the rear of the property you’ll see an enclosed rear courtyard with tables and chairs so you can eat in the fresh air if you like.

This cottage is in a great location, as the harbour is 500 metres away and the marina is 0.5 miles away. You can take boat trips to see the beautiful views, plus puffins and seals! Amble itself has lots of nice places, including shops and eateries, so take some time to “amble” around. If you’d like to see more of the coastline, visit Hauxley Nature Reserve, 2.5 miles away.

I don't think it would be possible to improve the cottage. It has far more equipment than I have at home! Cosy and very comfy beds! We were greeted with a lovely "welcome" pack of flowers, proseco, tea coffee, milk and biscuits. Far more than expected! The location, both within the town and for exploring the area, is really good. Lots of dog friendRead morely places in the town and ,of course, all those glorious beaches. Have already recommended it! Hide

I booked Eider Cottage with my 3 adult daughters for a week at Easter. It was cosy and warm. The cottage is very well equipped and we had plenty of room. The cottage is very well placed for walks (it's yards from the coastal path), and for visiting other Northumberland beaches and towns.

Wonderful very well equipped cottage in a fantastic location. We stayed over Xmas and the owner had decorated the whole cottage and left some lovely seasonal treats for us.
