From the harbour you can take a boat trip out to go fishing or to visit the Farne Islands. Other local attractions include Bamburgh Castle, Beadnell Bay (both 3.5 miles) and Lindisfarne (19 miles). To the south is the popular market town of Alnwick (19 miles), home to the beautiful Alnwick Garden and a historic castle.
